1970s Ludwig "Pro Beat" Maple Cortex Drum Kit

1,350.00

Early 1970s Ludwig “Pro Beat” drum kit in original Maple Cortex, sizes 14x24, 9x13, 10x14, 16x16, and 16x18. The kit has close serial numbers and appears to be factory matched. All shells are three-ply with reinforcement rings. The wrap is in good condition - there are some scuffs and minor scratches here and there. Some of the hoops and most of the tension rods are unoriginal.. Diamond plate has an unoriginal bolt. I’d grade the hardware in general as a “B.”

The kit spent a decent amount of time without hoops - heads fit tightly on some of the drums. Bass drum has a chip in the resonant edge, as do the 13” and 14” toms - they tune up fine. In my opinion the natural interior Ludwigs are their best shells - this kit provides some great configuration options for an affordable price.
